If you’re into tinkering or home improvement, Cooroy has extensive hardware, building and landscaping supplies and services. Commercially there are all the services you need including banking, insurance, automotive, computer services, accountants, solicitors and post office.
The local schools provide schooling from Day care services to High School Education, and there are various day care facilities including:-

Cooroy State School Primary offers education from Prep classes to Grade 7 and Noosa District State High School provides education from Grade 8 to Grade 12. Also available is the Noosa Christian College offering classes from Prep to Grade 12. The local schools are very reputable and many outstanding students have originated from these schools.

Cooroy’s newest asset is a $9.7 million state of the art library. Imagine reading your new book on the grass roof of your library. You can do this and more in the brand new library which opened June 2010.
Looking for a nature walk? Take a scenic drive to Cooroy Mountain with access via the Cooroy Mountain Spring Water property, this is a 2 hour return climb and a great work out.
If You’re looking for something a little less rigorous you can also take a stroll through the Botanical Gardens at Lake Macdonald just 4 kilometers from the centre of Cooroy or you could walk to the top of Mount Tinbeerwah situated off Noosa Cooroy Road. For the more adventurous try Cooroora Mountain at Pomona which is a more difficult climb and also hosts the famous “King of the Mountain” climb each year.
